# Guardian membrane separators: gas through, liquid out

A Guardian housing holds a membrane that lets gas through and stops liquid water and aerosols. Placed ahead of the analyser, it is the last line of defence against a slug of condensate in the sample line.

## Why buy Headline from Sarvesh

Sarvesh Analytics is the exclusive representative of Headline Filters Ltd., UK, for the Indian subcontinent, and has specified Headline filters in its own sampling systems for years. We help you choose the housing and grade, supply original parts, and quote locally.

## Frequently asked questions

**Where should the membrane separator go?**

Close to the analyser inlet, after the sample has been cooled and conditioned, so it catches any liquid the rest of the system lets through.

**Is it a replacement for a sample cooler?**

No. A cooler removes the bulk of the moisture; the membrane separator protects the analyser if liquid still gets through.

**Can the membrane be replaced?**

Yes. Membrane kits are supplied for each Guardian model.
