SV-200 vaporises cryogenic samples (200 W, up to 10 LPM, with a bypass line) so the analyser sees gas of the same composition as the liquid. SV-400 vaporises condensed sample on the go for wet analysis, using 100 W and a built-in controller set between 100 and 200 C.
Why Sample vaporisers SV-200 and SV-400
Representative cryogenic samples
SV-200 heats up to 10 LPM of sample with a 200 W exchanger and has a bypass with needle valve for fast flushing at the tapping point.
No loss of sample
SV-400 keeps the sample in the gas phase at a user-set temperature of 100 to 200 °C, for accurate wet analysis.
Safe to leave running
A thermostat protects against over-temperature on both models; SV-400 adds a built-in controller for dual safety.

Key features
- SV-200: raises cryogenic sample to ambient temperature quickly, avoiding condensation on the sample line
- SV-200: easy to install and service, with a drain outlet for condensate
- SV-400: plug-and-play, vaporises condensate formed in transport so the sample stays gaseous
- SV-400: built-in temperature controller with user-set heater temperature
How it works
A liquid or partly liquid sample cannot be sent directly to a gas analyser. Cryogenic oxygen, nitrogen and argon are drawn as liquid, and if they are warmed unevenly the light components boil first, so the gas that reaches the analyser is not the composition of the liquid. A vaporiser heats the sample quickly enough to turn it all to gas.
SV-200 does this for cryogenic samples and avoids condensation on the sample line. SV-400 is for wet analysis, where condensed sample must be vaporised rather than removed, since removing it would remove soluble components of the gas.
Selection guidance
Choose SV-200 for liquid and cold gas sampling in air separation and storage tank measurements. Choose SV-400 when water or other condensate in the sample is part of what you want to measure.

Why vaporise cryogenic samples?
So the analyser sees a gas with the same composition as the liquid.
Is there a bypass line?
On SV-200, yes, with a valve for quick flushing.
How much power do they use?
SV-200 heater is 200 W and SV-400 is 100 W.
How is temperature controlled?
SV-400 has a built-in controller with a user-set temperature of 100 to 200 C. SV-200 has a thermostat for over-temperature protection and Pt100 sensors at inlet and outlet.
