ACCURRA-S models 2015 and 2030

Online carbon monoxide (CO) analyser: ppm and percent

ACCURRA-S measures carbon monoxide from ppm to 100 percent with the right sensor for each range: an electrochemical cell for 0 to 1000 ppm and NDIR for 0 to 100 percent, with ranges down to 0 to 5 percent. It pairs with CO2 or oxygen in one dual-gas enclosure.

Quick answer

ACCURRA-S measures carbon monoxide from 0 to 1000 ppm with an electrochemical cell (model 2015) and from 0 to 100 % with NDIR (model 2030, ranges down to 0 to 5 %). It can be paired with CO2 or oxygen in a dual-gas enclosure.

Key features

  • Failsafe alarm relays, configurable as Lo-LoLo, Lo-Hi or Hi-HiHi
  • Dual-range 4-20 mA with range ID relay
  • Calibration history with deviation values and password protection

How it works

Carbon monoxide is both a hazard and a process signal. In combustion, a rising CO reading says air is short. In steel, syngas and heat treatment atmospheres, CO is a main component. In gas certification, a few ppm of CO is an impurity limit.

Electrochemical cells are sensitive and economical at ppm level but respond to other gases and have a finite life. NDIR measures percent levels directly and is stable for years. ACCURRA-S uses the one that suits your range.

Requirements and limits

  • Safe-area analyser. Sample should be non-corrosive, non-toxic, non-flammable and dry per the catalogue, so high-CO streams are reviewed individually.
  • INFINITY-Tx measures trace CO in hazardous areas.

Selection guidance

Choose 2015 for ppm CO impurity checks in nitrogen, argon and helium, and for combustion safety. Choose 2030 for percent CO in process gas, furnace atmospheres and test ducts.

Carbon monoxide is toxic, and the standard sample specification excludes toxic samples; we review streams with significant CO case by case and design the venting.
