ACCURRA-S 4030 measures methane from 0 to 100 %, with a minimum range of 0 to 5 %, by NDIR and a sensor life above five years. It can share an enclosure with CO2 for biogas. Methane is flammable, so area and sample are reviewed.

Key features
- Calibration history and password protection
- Isolated 4-20 mA with dual range
- Modbus RTU for remote monitoring
How it works
Methane absorbs infrared strongly, which makes NDIR the reliable choice across a wide range with excellent long-term stability. The wide range matters because the same analyser can read a few percent of methane in a purge check or nearly 100 percent in upgraded biogas.
Typical uses are biogas and CBG plants, gas purity checks, process gas and furnace atmospheres that contain methane.
Requirements and limits
- Safe-area analyser; review flammable samples with us before ordering.

| Item | Requirement | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Power at the analyser | 100 to 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, 45 W | |
| Zero gas | Zero-grade nitrogen, 99.9999 % | 10 litre cylinder with regulator |
| Span gas | Zero-grade CH₄, 99.999 % | 10 litre cylinder with regulator |
| Sample at the analyser | 2 to 10 psig, about 1 LPM, 5 to 45 °C, dust below 3 micron | Pressure and flow regulated by the user |
| Mounting | 19 inch rack or panel, in a safe area |
Selection guidance
Choose 4030 for methane in biogas, natural gas blending checks and carbon-bearing furnace atmospheres.
Methane is flammable, so sample handling and installation need an area review; the catalogue sample specification asks for non-flammable samples.
Applications
Application pages where this is part of the recommended solution:
- Biogas and compressed biogas (CBG)
- Heat-treatment furnace atmosphere
- Pyrolysis, gasification and syngas
- Gas purity certification and cylinder filling
