Gas analysers for steel plants, heat treatment and furnace atmospheres
Steel plants run on gases that are valuable, toxic and explosive in turn, and heat treatment lines live or die by furnace atmosphere. Sarvesh supplies the analysers, heated and high-temperature probes and sampling systems for both.
Steel plants and furnace lines use ACCURRA-S for oxygen, CO, CO2 and dew point, ACCURRA-TCD for hydrogen, ACCURRA-Zr for combustion zones, and heated or retractable probes for hot, dusty gas. Corrosive or toxic streams are reviewed before a system is proposed.
What steel, heat treatment and furnaces plants need from gas analysis
- Trace oxygen and dew point on one sample for protective atmospheres
- Hydrogen in nitrogen by thermal conductivity, no reference gas
- CO, CO2 and O2 in steel plant gases, with probes to 1400 C
- Systems sized for the sample and the area classification
Two different problems sit under this heading. In steel making, the gas is hot, dirty and hazardous, so the probe and conditioning decide whether an analyser stays in service. In heat treatment and glass, the atmosphere is clean but must be controlled at ppm or percent level, and the main risk is a leak or a drifting gas supply.
Flammable, toxic and corrosive samples are outside the standard limits of our i-Cons conditioner and SGI-320. We review each stream before proposing a system, and ask for the composition first.

Can you analyse blast furnace and coke oven gas?
Yes, with a probe and conditioning sized to the dust, tar and corrosives in your stream. Send the composition and we will review it before proposing.
What do you measure in a furnace atmosphere?
Trace oxygen, dew point, hydrogen percentage, and CO and CO2, depending on the atmosphere.
