Key features

  • Thermal conductivity hydrogen measurement in a certified enclosure
  • Alarm relays for purge permissives
  • Modbus and 4-20 mA outputs

How it works

Hydrogen is lighter than air and flammable over a wide range, so hydrogen areas are classified and every measurement in them must use certified equipment. Typical measurements are hydrogen in nitrogen at purge, hydrogen in oxygen in electrolysers, and hydrogen purity in reaction loops.

A thermal conductivity reading assumes a known binary mixture. Tell us the background and any variable third gas; we will choose the sensor and conditioning.

Requirements and limits

  • Confirm certificate scope for your classification; no SIL claim is made.
