A dual-gas ACCURRA-S measures percent oxygen and percent CO2 in one enclosure, for example 3030 plus 6030 for fermenter off-gas. Independent outputs and Modbus IDs let a control system calculate uptake and evolution rates and the respiratory quotient.
Specifications
| Item | Specification | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| O2 | 0 to 25 % or 0 to 100 % | Electrochemical 3030 or paramagnetic 3130 |
| CO2 | 0 to 20 % or 0 to 100 % | NDIR 6030 |
| Independence | Own electronics, outputs, relays and Modbus ID per channel |

Key features
- Independent electronics, microcontroller, 4-20 mA, relays and Modbus ID per sensor
- Common pneumatics and one fine filter
- Calibration history and password protection
How it works
Oxygen and carbon dioxide together describe respiration, combustion and blending. In a fermenter their changes give oxygen uptake rate, carbon dioxide evolution rate and respiratory quotient. In a welding blend they describe the composition. In combustion, oxygen consumed and CO2 produced show fuel and air balance.
The catalogue combination is O2 percent with CO2 percent in argon or nitrogen, and the pharma application note recommends 3030 plus 6030 for bioreactor off-gas.
Requirements and limits
- Safe-area analyser; the standard sample specification applies.

What ranges?
Oxygen 0 to 25 or 100 percent, CO2 0 to 20 or 100 percent.
Which models for a fermenter?
3030 for oxygen and 6030 for CO2.
Do the channels interfere?
No. Each has its own electronics.
Can I calculate respiratory quotient?
Yes, from the two Modbus readings.
