Gas analyser for research laboratories, aerospace and nuclear programmes

Research programmes in space, atomic energy and universities ask for measurements that catalogue instruments do not always cover. ACCURRA-S, ACCURRA-TCD and ACCURRA-Hz cover oxygen, CO, CO2, methane, dew point and binary purity, and we adapt the set-up to your rig.

  • ISO 9001:2015, certified by TÜV
  • Designed and built in Pune since 2002
  • Supplied to Reliance, Tata Steel, Indian Oil, Linde and ISRO
Quick answer

Research laboratories use ACCURRA-S for O2, CO, CO2, CH4 and dew point, ACCURRA-TCD for binary purity of H2, He, Ar, N2, N2O, Ne and Kr, and ACCURRA-Hz in classified areas, with the set-up configured to the rig.

The measurement and why it matters

Our customer list includes the Indian Space Research Organisation, the Nuclear Power Corporation of India, the Department of Atomic Energy, IIT Bombay and the Manipal Institute of Technology. For research the instrument is often one of a kind, so we work from your gas, range and sample conditions.

ACCURRA-S measures oxygen, CO, CO2, methane and dew point, and the dual-channel versions put two measurements on one sample. ACCURRA-TCD measures binary gas purity of hydrogen, helium, argon, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, neon and krypton with no reference gas. ACCURRA-Hz covers classified areas.

Send the rig sample conditions, range and the output you need, and we will advise.

Process notes

Atomic energy, space and defence programmes

Programmes of this kind value traceable calibration records and long-term stability. ACCURRA-S stores calibration history with deviation values and offers password protection for calibration and set-up.

University and institute laboratories

Laboratory rigs change over a project's life. A rack or panel analyser with configurable 4-20 mA ranges, relays and Modbus RTU adapts to those changes without rewiring.

Choosing the analyser for a rig

For a test rig the useful questions are the gas, the range, the response you need, and what the output feeds. A rack analyser with a configurable 4-20 mA range and Modbus RTU output suits most data acquisition systems. Where the rig is in a classified area, ACCURRA-Hz or INFINITY-Tx can be used, and for binary gas purity ACCURRA-TCD needs no reference gas.

Calibration and records

Calibration check, calibration with deviation values and alarm history are stored in the analyser, and calibration, set-up and diagnostics modes are password protected. That gives a clear record of instrument health across a long experiment or programme.

Sampling and installation

  • Send the rig sample conditions for advice.
  • Specify cleanliness and fitting requirements early for trace measurements.

ACCURRA-S sample specification: non-corrosive, non-toxic, non-flammable, non-condensing and dry, free from entrained oil; sample pressure 2 to 10 psig, regulated externally; flow about 1 LPM; dust below 3 micron. Where your sample differs, we design conditioning around it.

Send what you have and we will ask for the rest.

  • The gases to measure, the range, and the accuracy you need
  • Background gases and their typical composition
  • Sample temperature, pressure and dew point at the tapping point
  • Dust level, and whether the gas carries tar, oil or condensable vapour
  • Process connection and, for ducts, the duct diameter
  • Where the sample vents to, and at what pressure
  • Area classification of the tapping point and of the analyser location, and the IP protection needed
  • Distance between the tapping point and the analyser
  • Outputs you need: 4-20 mA, dual range, relays, Modbus RTU
  • Calibration approach, calibration gas available, and whether blowback is required
  • Utilities at site: power supply, instrument air, nitrogen, steam and cooling water, and the ambient temperature range
  • Rig sample conditions, range and required outputs
